Academic support of young talents
In cooperation with the Association of German Metal Merchants (Verein Deutscher Metallhändler), the Kaps-Foundation supports, among others, academic young talents. The foundation specifically aides with theses on metal and offers interested students the opportunity to participate in trainings of the foundation’s program. Besides information and guidance, students about to take their diplomas receive unique support independent of the grades they achieve.
Since the founding in 1997, the foundation has been in close contact with universities and constantly improves the cooperation with, for instance, the Institut für Handelsförderung (institute to support the trade) of the university in Cologne. Through the constructive cooperation, it is possible to better coordinate theory and experience. Students are being prepared for the challenges of the metal trade early. New contacts to student representatives are definitely desirable.
